My Travel Journal

"There isn't much I haven't shared with you along the road and through it all there'd always be tomorrow's episode" - Elton John

I started traveling around the world since early 80s when I had the opportunity to combine business trips with vacations. Then later when my rezeki is in abundance, there were numerous other trips along the way for vacations, most of the time with hubby and the kids when the timing is right. I have also started to compile the journal and photo-pages covering almost more than 45 years of world wide travel. Some destinations I visited just once, others many times. Many of those places are the obvious famous places people would like to visit but some, the casual traveler doesn't even think to try. I have placed links to my travel at the side bar of my personal page, My Life Reflections, and will be updating them from time to time.

My wish is to continue my travel and complete circumnavigate the globe, insyaAllah…

Day 05: Monday, 18 April 2016

The ship started to sail towards Mykonos, a distance of 96 nautical miles away and arrived about 6:00 pm. Although it was already late, everyone in the group disembarked and took a stroll to watch the sunset and visited Little Venice in Chora, a beautiful old island town of Mykonos.

Mykonos Island, Greece

Mykonos lies between Tinos, Syros, Paros and Naxos nicknamed as The Island of the winds. Its town is known as Chora. Mykonos, part of the Cyclades island group in the Aegean Sea, is one of the most popular and glamorous Greek isles, known for its nonstop party atmosphere. Beaches such as Paradise and Super Paradise welcome a diverse crowd, with music blaring. Massive dance clubs attract world-renowned DJs and typically stay open well past dawn.

Tourism is a major industry. Mykonos is well known for its vibrant nightlife and for being a gay-friendly destination with many establishments catering for the community.

The rest of the night was free and easy. Before we retired to our room, we watched the stage show held at Muses Lounge at level 5. The ship sailed to Kusadasi, Turkey a distance of 99 nautical miles from Mykonos.
